How to Easily Get the Best Out of Your Next Holiday

It is probably stating the obvious, but most people love to take holidays. They plan them months or even a year or more in advance, then dream about them and anticipate their getaway as the time gets nearer and nearer. This is totally understandable, as unfortunately many people are not always doing the job that they love, or even worse, they downright hate their work.
Holidays are a way to escape from the norm and are the perfect opportunity to forget about the humdrum boredom of normal day to day life such as the daily commute, sitting in a miserable office for eight hours, dealing with workplace politics and having to the listen to the same monotonous conversations with colleagues.

Even if you truly love your work and are generally enjoying life, a vacation to see and experience somewhere new is never a bad thing. The very best jobs can become stressful from time to time, so getting away is a chance to reset, free your mind from worry and also de-stress.

Stunning Video "The Lanzarote Effect" Showcases the Island´s Hidden Beauty

The guaranteed year round sunny weather and beautiful beaches of Lanzarote, draw millions of tourists from across the world every year. The sun, sand and sea are without doubt amazing here, but if you look a little closer and do some exploration off the beaten track, there are hidden depths to this incredible island, as showcased in the stunning video below:

This video was made by filmakers Lea Amiel and Nicolas Libersalle. According to the talented pair:

"With 6 other filmmakers from all around the world, we were chosen to make shorts films about the canary islands : 7 filmmakers, 7 islands, 7 stories. The Island which was assigned to us is Lanzarote: a small volcanic island. So we went there for a week and tried to show the beauty of this special island…here is the result. Hope you'll enjoy it! Thanks for watching ;)"

I certainly enjoyed it, and although I may be biased I personally think it was the best of the seven videos. Many others have enjoyed it too with the video having gained close to 250,000 views on Vimeo and over 5000 likes since it was released two months ago!

The viral nature of this video is a testament to its quality, the growing popularity of Vimeo, and to Lanzarote itself.
